Schedule of 4-H Project Meetings

Please sign up to attend the March project meetings using the google doc linked here:   button     by March 1.

Dog Project
Afton Forred is leading the Dog project this year.  The next meeting will be March 2nd at 6 pm at the Fair Barn.  You will need to bring your dog and have the required immunizations.  If you missed the first meeting and need a list of the immunizations required please contact the extension office or check out the link below.  There are some fun activities planned for the project so get signed up and plan to attend.
Required immunizations

Poultry
Courtney McCreery is planning to have a poultry meeting every second Tuesday of the month. The next meeting is scheduled for March 10 at 6 pm. It will be in the blue barn unless the weather is nice, then plan to be in the poultry barn. 

Foods
Martha Ediger is holding monthly 4-H Foods project meetings. The first project meeting will take place on February 17 from 1-3 pm in the Fair Kitchen. The March meeting is scheduled for March 23 from 6-8 pm. Parents are encouraged to stay and help if possible. Please sign up a week in advance (youth and volunteers) for planning purposes.

Photography
Karen Befort will be having photography project meetings on the first Tuesday of each month starting on March 3 from 6:30-7:30 pm at the Fair Barn . Please bring a camera if you have one!

Arts & Crafts
Roxanne Coslett volunteers by holding monthly Arts & Crafts project meetings on the 2nd Wednesday of each month. These meetings are held in the Fair Barn at 6:00 p.m. The next one will take place on March 11 @ 6 pm at the Fair Barn. We ask that an adult stay with youth under age 13 to assist with their project. Be sure to RSVP  if you will be attending so enough materials will be available.

Clothing Buymanship
Christy will be having a clothing buymanship project meeting on March 16 and March 23 from 8:30 am- 12 pm. We will start at the Extension Office with a lesson and will go to a couple clothing stores in Anthony from there. Bring money for lunch if you plan to stay for the Fiber Arts project.

Fiber Arts

Wildlife Road Trip
There will be a Wildlife Road Trip on Tuesday March 17.  We will leave the office at 8:15 am and  travel to Pratt to visit the KDWPT education center and fish hatchery.  We will be eating lunch in Pratt and touring Lemon Park to do some tree identification.  Participants will need to bring money for lunch.  This is for 4-H members enrolled in the Wildlife project or interested in the project. 

Boulders & Breezes 
We will have a joint project meeting for youth enrolled in Geology, Energy Management,and Environment Study.  This will be held on Wednesday March 18 from 8:30 am - 12 pm at the Fair Barn. Bring ideas on what you would like to learn from these projects.  We will do some goal setting,  and experiments for each segment and make plans for continued education.    

Sheep Project
Jenni will be holding sheep project meetings at the Extension Office on March 18 @ 1 pm and March 25 @ 1 pm at the Memorial Building in Attica

Bugs & Breezes
We will have a joint project meeting for youth enrolled in Entomology, Energy Management, and Environment Study.  This will be held on Wednesday March 25 from 8:30 am - 12 pm at the Memorial Building in Attica. Bring ideas on what you would like to learn from these projects.  We will do some goal setting, and experiments for each segment and make plans for continued education.    

**Please let us know if you'd like to volunteer to stay and help with any of these projects. Also, don't forget that you have until May 1 to add/drop projects in 4HOnline! Enrolled members will receive additional reminders for these classes and be able to show the projects at the fair.
